GENERAL TIPS ON WAXING
  1. Waxing works best when the skin has been regularly moisturised and exfoliated. If the skin is dry and scaly, the dry skin will stick to the wax, clogging it, and preventing the wax from adhering to the hair.
  2. Wash skin before commencing the treatment. This removes any natural body oils or cream from the skin’s surface.
  3. A light dusting of talcum powder can also be used. The talc cools the skin and keeps it dry (especially in hot, humid climates).
  4. Always apply a patch of wax to the inner wrist to test for temperature prior to waxing.
  5. Hairs should be at least 2-4mm long for the wax to adhere properly.
  6. The wax patch should always be removed in one swift movement.
  7. If after waxing, re-growth hairs are evident within ten days, it is an indication that the hairs have been broken off and notremoved completely with roots, due to poor technique. Attention should always be given to using the correct method in both theapplication and removal of the wax.
 CONDITIONS WHEN NOT TO WAX:

  2. Defective circulation e.g. diabetic conditions
